Wow...the picture on my profile is me after I had lost 65+ pounds in June 2010. I sadly gained it back. I thought about changing the picture, but for now I am leaving it as a painful reminder of what I let slip through my fingers. It really stinks to know I was looking great- still had a long ways to go, but I would give anything to be right back there today.
Here is a picture of me in my first "official" 5K, from May.
And here is a picture from my 2nd 5K, just yesterday! This was a Color Run and was a blast! I am the one on the left.
These are my "before" pictures. I am hoping that I can stick to my plans and lose 85 pounds in about 34 weeks. Two pounds a week would get me to 68, but since I am heavy I think my average may be a little more, especially initially.
Why 85? Because I will be back down to my "wedding weight" just in time for our 15th anniversary trip to Europe! But my first goal is losing 25 pounds, and training for a half marathon.
Hello everybody! I am determined to run the Disney Princess half Marathon in February, 2013!
The only problem is, I am very overweight. I have been walking for exercise lately, and have done two 5K's - WALKING the entire time. This morning I decided to try a C25K (couch to 5K) program and failed miserably (more on that later).
I decided I need some support and accountability, so I decided to start a blog. So follow my journey, and hopefully begin your own as well!
